First Draft Declaration of the Jewish People / Primer Borrador de la Declaracion del Pueblo Judío

To the Nations of The World

A las naciones del mundo

We, the Jewish people, both in Eretz Yisrael and in the various places of our exile, hereby declare:

1. That the Jewish People are the sole heirs to the Land of Israel, from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea;

1. Que el Pueblo Judío es el único heredero de la Tierra de Israel, desde el Río Jordán hasta el Mar Mediterráneo;

2. That all the Jewish people, each and every Jew, and only the Jews, have the right to return to the Land of Israel;

2. Que todo el Pueblo Judío, todos y cada uno de los judíos, y solo los judíos, tienen el derecho a regresar a la Tierra de Israel;

3. That the Jewish People have the right and duty to settle the Land of Israel in its entirety, to work the land, to build industry on it, and to do so respecting its holiness as the Torah commands;

3. Que el Pueblo Judío tiene el deber y el derecho a asentarse en toda la Tierra de Israel, a trabajar la tierra, a construir industria en ella, y a hacer esto respetando su santidad según comanda la Torá;

4. That any individual Jew, even with the claim of representing the Jewish people, the people and/or government of Israel, or any representative or ruling authority; has no right to give away the collective right of the Jewish people over the Land of Israel;

4. Que cualquier individuo judío, incluso bajo la pretensión de representar al pueblo judío, al pueblo y/o gobierno de Israel, o a cualquier autoridad gobernante o representativa, no posee derecho a rendir el derecho colectivo de todo el Pueblo Judío sobre la Tierra de Israel;

5. That we will not accept any declaration, agreement, legislation, court ruling or decree that contradicts our right to the Land of Israel. This includes any instance where our right is only partially recognized, or where another people or entity alien to our people is said to share rights over the Land of Israel;

5. Que no vamos a aceptar ninguna declaración, acuerdo, legislación, fallo de corte, o decreto que contradiga nuestro derecho a la Tierra de Israel. Esto Incluye cualquier instancia el la que nuestro derecho es solamente reconocido parcialmente, o en la que otro pueblo o entidad ajena a nuestro pueblo comparta susodicho derecho;

6. That the name of our land is the Land of Israel, ארץ ישראל, and that we do not recognize the sovereign validity of any name imposed by foreign conquerors, or any people called after such imposed name;

6. Que el nombre de nuestra tierra es la Tierra de Israel, ארץ ישראל,y que no reconocemos la validez soberana de ningún nombre impuesto por conquistadores extranjeros, o de cualquier pueblo llamado con el nombre de tal impostura;

7. That the capital of the Land of Israel is the entire city of Jerusalem, and that this is an unconditional truth not subject to debate or negotiation. No other people or entity of any sort has sovereign rights over that city, and even the collection of all the nations of the world has no such right;

7. Que la capital de la Tierra de Israel es Jerusalén, y que esto constituye una verdad incondicional que no está sujeta al debate o a la negociación. Ningún otro pueblo o entidad de cualquier tipo tiene derecho soberano sobre esa ciudad, e incluso la colección de todas las naciones carece de tal derecho;

8. That the Temple Mount is our most Holy place, and that no one has the right to violate its holiness and physical integrity. The remains of the First and Second Temple shall not be touched unless it is for the specific purpose of building the Third Temple;

8. Que el Monte del Templo es nuestro lugar más santo, y que nadie tiene el derecho a violar su santidad y su integridad física. Los restos del Primer y del Segundo Templo no han de ser tocados a menos que sea por el propósito específico de la construcción del Tercer Templo;

9. That the State of Israel has the duty to keep the Land of Israel on Jewish hands, and any violation of this duty is to us of no validity. We do not recognize any territorial concession, and no peace may come from such thing.

Please comment on the above declaration. Your input is most appreciated to make this a serious and broadly accepted document.

At the Crossroads of Our Survival / En la encrucijada de nuestra supervivencia

The long history of a people that sprouts from a single family, thirty seven centuries ago, is not free from the onslaught of recurrent threats to its very existence. The great paradox of its survival, the Jewish People is instructed not to rely on miracles, yet survives through a permanent miracle.

Within the scope of memory, a memory of witnesses and protagonists still alive as these lines are being written, two major instances have defied the survival of the children of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob: the Holocaust, and Assimilation. These two palpable realities sum up the two necessary elements necessary for Jewish survival: the physical and the spiritual realms.

Yet, before our very eyes, new threats are rising, yet again. We are not to rely on miracles. We are not to assume victory before we’ve fought the battle and experienced victory. We are not to sleep on the laurels we’ve earned in past struggles, or to rely on prayer alone.

For almost 60 years the Jewish People have counted with the physical establishment of a Jewish government on the land of Israel. For over – just over – 40 years that establishment has included the core of our G-d given (and G-d promised) land. But a devastating malady is eating us inside out, and corroding the very foundations of such a concept.

Let us understand: It so happens that every Jew's life is connected to the land of Israel, wherever in the world that Jew may be. The year that has just started in the Jewish calendar, 5768, is a Sabbatical year, a Shmitah year. During this year, the seventh of a recurrent cycle kept since the revelation of the Torah thirty three centuries ago, the Land of Israel must rest. That means that agricultural work on Jewish-owned land in Eretz Yisrael must cease for the whole year.

Debts accumulated during this year are transferred to a Beit Din, a rabbinical court that will be in charge of seeing them paid. That makes sense for Jews living in the Land of Israel, and working in the land. Yet Jews in the Diaspora have, just as well, signed the pruzbul document of debt-transferring just before Rosh HaShanah.

Why would Jews outside of the land of Israel sign a pruzbul? Because it is implicit that the Jews belong to a specific piece of territory in Eretz Yisrael, which is never smaller than four square cubits per person.

When the land already redeemed by being in Jewish property is handed over to gentiles; whether as a sale, or as a part of an agreement, or even as a loss of war; the Jewish lives connected to that parcel of land are immediately put in danger. We may or may not see that connection in a physical way. The physical aspect of our survival constitutes, as mentioned above, only one dimension. But the connection between the land and our physical survival is empirically evident.

When we were precipitated into the present Exile, some nineteen centuries ago, an enormous amount of lost Jewish lives paved the roads out of the Land of Israel.

Today, every time our land is given
away, surrendered, our even spoken of with that intention on our lips, our lives are in danger.

And so, the very concept of “land-for-peace” is fraudulent. Moreover, it is contrary to truth. In order to achieve True Peace the land of Israel must remain in Jewish hands.

Hence the threat we face today. The government of Israel – yes, the democratically elected, and popularly detested government of the State of Israel – has offered in writing to give away almost the entirety of the territories liberated in the miraculous Six-Day War, including half of Jerusalem!

And we hear from a government in the land where Haman and Achashverosh once plotted the annihilation of the Jewish people. Their physical threat: to erase from the map our possession of our land. All the nightmares we once thought gone are back: weapons of mass destruction, massive extermination of Jews, a powerful army capable of standing up to us, and a complex switch of world power that may leave us facing the enemy without any friendly nation coming to our aid.

We must remember that essential axiom: not to rely on miracles. That is to say, we are not to expect anything good to come from keeping silent, from allowing confusion, fear, or from absurd and paralyzing moral relativism.

Do not ask me how it is that all our lives are in danger. I will not tell you who may bring death to our doorposts, or how. I would rather not make cheshbonot, frivolous or arrogant calculations, attempting to answer that. The fact is that if we simply sit still and allow the farce of “peace process” to go on, we will have no one but ourselves to blame for the disaster coming our way when the events unfold.

There is simply no threat big enough to intimidate us into silence when our lives, the lives of our brethren, the lives of our children and loved ones, are so blatantly being put in danger by a blind and foolish government: the government of Israel.

I call upon each and every one reading these lines to raise their voices in protest, and to do everything within their power to stop the horrors of land surrender. Don’t be fooled by the cunning enchantment of those who in vain offer peace. They have never been able to deliver what they so deceitfully put forward, and this time around will be no exception.

For our survival, for the sake of the Jewish people, and for the sake of True Peace in the world, denounce, protest, and do all you can to stop the surrender of Judea, Samaria, and the east side of Jerusalem. Countless generations in the future will thank us for having done so.

Produced by the World Committee for Saving the Jewish People and the Land of Israel (המטה העולמי להצלת העם והארץ), this critical documentary exposes the false promises of the Israeli government to the Jewish residents of Gush Katif to get them to leave their homes.

The tragedy of the expulsion of the Gush Katif Jewish residents and the destruction of their communities reaches many layers of depth, as shown in the film.

The destroyed communities of Gush Katif, in the Gaza Strip, are today under the control of Hamas. No longer under Israeli control, the region has become a nest of extremist Islamic fundamentalism. Rockets are still being shot against Jewish communities within the Green Line, Israel’s border before the 1967 Six Days War.

Yet, not having learned the lessons of history and its upheavals, the Israeli government is yet again about to proceed with the destruction of the Jewish communities of Judea and Samaria, the liberated Jewish territories of the West Bank.

May the lessons from the events depicted in this film reach us all in time to turn around the current debacle, and somehow correct the horrors of a government turn against its very own citizens for the sake of enemy, foreign interests. May these horrors be repeated NEVER AGAIN!

I have said it so many times that it is fit to ask why to insist any further. The evidence is overwhelming and it would be difficult to argue that those who today still persist denying or twisting it have any hopes of straightening themselves out: The surrender (or “unilateral withdrawal,” in the demophrenic newspeak so fashionable among Israeli politicians) of the territory of Gush Katif (Gaza Strip) and Tzfon HaShomron (Northern Samaria) was one of the worst intentional mistakes of Israel's modern history.

Why shouldn't I just get tired of repeating it, and let yesterday's mistakes stay right there, in the past? Because everyday we're reminded of the issue. Because we live, day to day, hour to hour, its harmful consequences. Because the ever-worsening situation cries out loud asking for the tikun, the complicated process of error rectification. Because the Kadima regime, the guilty party for the current fiasco, is still going on the same wrong way, bringing tragedy after tragedy to the people, the land, and the state of Israel.

But what difference could my words make? I don't know. Certainly, visual language could be useful.

Here are a couple of images that clearly show the result of the surrender of Gush Katif.

Before the surrender, the famous green houses of the Gush were the foundation of a prolific industry. Always green, they produced insect-free vegetables without the use of insecticides:

After the surrender, the Israeli Army had to carry out a series of operations back on the abandoned territory, since the rocket attacks have not stopped. It is said that the Arabs have build tunnels in order to bring weapons and pieces to put together their rockets. But... how could they hide the enormous exit holes?

Yitzjak Avinu vivió en Gush Katif / Yitzchok Avinu Lived in Gush Katif

The tragedy of the wrongful abandonment of the land of the Jewish residents of Gush Katif into enemy hands carries along with it, several conceptual errors which today have an echo even among scholars. Such is the terrible mistake of declaring that that which was abandoned was not part of Eretz Yisroel. Rachamanah litzlan!

There is, of course, a choir of mumbling parrots, relativists, manipulators and ignoramuses, who even on the face of the events of the events of the last fifteen months, still repeat their pathetic foolishness which all but deepen us into stifling darkness.

And so, there are voices still heard, declaring that the Jewish communities of Gush Katif were not built within the borders of our G-d-Given-Land.

Let us put aside, for now, the catastrophic blunder of fancying the Jewish dwellers of the territories liberated by Israel in 1967 as the party at fault. It certainly goes without saying that such folly only served to provide Hamas and Hezbullah with a needed smoke screen, which allowed them to build-up their weapon arsenals, and to win the support of the Arab world, Europe, and the Third World. Let us simply clarify a small point of the deeply misunderstood issue of Eretz Yisroel’s south western borders.

The Torah Parasha read in synagogues the world-over this Shabbot, Toldos, makes very clear the Jewish right, even duty, to settle this corner of the proper, sacred Jewish soil.

Let us begin, taking as a premise, the point of Yitzchok Avinu’s spiritual level. Unlike Avrohom and Yaakov, Yitzchok never left Eretz Yisroel. His spiritual level was such that it was imperative for him not to leave the Land of Israel even during periods of great want.

Thus, the fact that Avrohom Avinu lived for many days in the land of the Philistines (Bereishis / Genesis 21:34), could perhaps be construed as though Avrohom Avinu had left, then Eretz Yisroel. Avrohom had been born in Chutz La’aretz, and in times of want he descended into Egypt.

The Parasha comes to clarify that Yitzchok Avinu also lived in lands occupied by the Philistines. Not only in the Negev, but in Gerar (26:1,6), and in Nahal Gerar (26:7). That desert river which at times dries out, to then fill up its bed with the gushing floods of the rainy season. It passes through biblical Gerar, and ends up in the Mediterranean, shortly after uniting its waters with those of Nahal Besor.

The place were Nahal Gerar’s waters meet the Mediterranean is a couple of miles south of Gaza city, very near the former group of Jewish communities built during the past thirty plus years, known collectively as Gush Katif.

Yitzchok Avinu excavated eight wells throughout the Valley of Gerar (v. 15), and succeeded in gathering harvests from lands that the Philistines believed to be barren. He even collected a hundred fold the harvest that would normally grow in such a spread (26:12). The same miracle took place, once again, in Gush Katif, where in Jewish hands a multi-million agricultural industry blossomed, placing the produce of Gush Katif in the markets of Europe and America.

Today that land, in Arab hands, turns again into the driest of deserts. The only thing worked through the ground are the carved tunnels, whose only use is for the Hamas leadership to smuggle weapons aimed to inflict damage on the Jewish population of neighboring Sderot, on the other side of the infamous green line.

Yitchok Avinu could very well have stayed in Hevron, and brought there the miracle of finding water in deep wells. But his self sacrifice, the act of going into the dangerous Peleshes (Philistea), where he had to hide the fact that Rivka was his wife for fear of being killed at the hands of jealous savages, and his devotion having settled for over twenty years in the dry wilderness, working there with enormous labor to make it blossom, all that was done in order to give us a message, a legacy very relevant in our days:

Sojourn in this land, and I will be with thee, and will bless thee; for unto thee, and unto thy seed, I will give all these countries, and I will perform the oath which I swore unto Abraham thy father.

(Genesis 26:3)

In the words of the scholarly author of the Sifsei Chachamim Torah Commentary on the verse 26:12: “דהא גרר הוי נמי ארץ ישראל”, “Gerar, too, is Eretz Yisroel.” It is to be understood, obviously, that the entire Gerar-Besor Valley is Eretz Yisroel, including the Gaza Strip.

As a matter of fact, Eretz Yisroel extends much farther to the west. It is a matter of controversy amongst authorities whether it is up to the El Arish River, or the very Nile. But that shall be subject of discussion later on, and its fulfillment will be for the days of Moshiach. Today, Gush Katif, may it be rebuilt speedily, is, for all practical purposes, as much Eretz Yisroel as are Yerushalayim, Hevron, Hadera and Tel Aviv.

Demophrenia. Israel and the Malaise of Democracy. By: Paul Eidelberg.

Deseo compartir un libro que estoy leyendo:

I wish to share a book I am reading:

“Demophrenia”, del profesor Paul Eidelberg. ¡Simplemente fascinante! Lamentablemente no tiene, todavía, traducción al castellano.

“Demophrenia,” by Professor Paul Eidelberg. It is simply fascinating! Unfortunately there is not yet a translation into Spanish.

This book renders clear everything that need to be understood by those who, in the thickest darkness of the Exile, believe that the Redemption consists of western democracy and nothing else.
